It sometimes saddens me to see the place we give our elders in society. The way we treat them, almost as if they were a nuisance, a burden, or no longer very useful. Yet, each of these people has a story, a life experience, a life that is still very real and important. Some opened doors for us and passed on their knowledge; they educated and loved us. Others fought, protested, and rose up for a better life. Through each of us, these people who came before us and contributed to our well-being live on.

« The Echo of Our Ancestors » is intended as a tribute to our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, who still shine through us and whom we must cherish and celebrate with dignity and love.
